BANGOR, Maine — While Bangor police arrested a man in connection with a rash of burglaries on the East Side recently, police are now investigating burglaries on Bangor’s West Side, according to Sgt. Tim Cotton.
Cotton said in an email Monday there were no new burglaries reported over the weekend, but “we are looking at some people of interest in those burglaries and the investigation is ongoing.”
It was unclear how many burglaries have been reported, or if the burglaries are connected.
Cotton said several officers were assigned to the West Side over the weekend, and no arrests have been made.
In some cases, entry was made to homes while people were home and police are advising the public to be vigilant and report suspicious activity.
Nelson Keyser, 24, was arrested earlier this month in connection with the East Side burglaries.
The public is advised to lock windows, doors and vehicles.
