A year ago the heavens opened up and welcomed you, my beloved Mom, for the next phase of your journey. With every passing day, I become more awakened to the truth that you are the wisest, kindest, most loyal, courageous, hard-working, gracious, creative, generous, gifted, forgiving, and loving person I know. I just hope while you were here with me physically, I made it clear you were all those things to me and more (and you still are). Although it manifests to varying degrees each day, I try to be a little kinder, wiser, sweeter, and more generous, just like you. Even though you are no longer with me physically, I continue to be comforted by your love and guidance every day. It is true that ‘you are in every flower that blooms and in still and empty rooms, in every bird that sings and in each lovely thing’.
