WATERVILLE, Maine — Laura Arnold played a part in all of Colby College’s goals in a 3-0 non-conference soccer win over University of Southern Maine on Wednesday at Harold Alfond Stadium.

The game was moved from the Colby soccer field to Alfond Stadium because of the heavy rain in the area. The rain decreased as the game wore on Wednesday.

Colby scored first at 5:03 of the opening half when Arnold kept the ball in play on the right end line and managed to push a pass back to about the penalty kick mark. Ally Ingraham was streaking up the middle and nailed a high shot for the score.

Arnold scored two second-half goals to secure the win, the first on an assist from Lauren McCarthy at 50:58 and the second from Katrina Holt.

Colby outshot USM 19-1 with Marissa Temple making seven saves for the Huskies (3-5) and Ashley Conley making one for Colby (3-3-1).
