PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police are searching for a man who robbed the TD Bank branch at 1410 Congress St. in Portland on Saturday morning.
Police said a white man went into the bank shortly after 8 a.m., showed a gun and left with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured in the armed robbery.
The suspect is described as a white man in his late 40s or early 50s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall wearing a red windbreaker jacket with the hood up and a scarf covering his face. He also was wearing blue jeans and tan work boots.
Portland police used a police dog to help track the suspect. At about 10 a.m. police said they may be closing in on the suspect.
