PORTLAND, Maine — A Scarborough man died Wednesday in an apparent diving accident in Portland, according to city police.
The victim was identified Thursday as Dennis McGrath, 56, according to a police statement.
McGrath was diving under fishing vessel Jamie and Ashley, which was docked at the Portland Fish Pier, removing tangled line from the prop and shaft, according to the statement.
No foul play is suspected in McGrath’s death, which remains under investigation.
