SANFORD, Maine — A mother and daughter from Sanford were arrested Friday in connection with an armed robbery at a local convenience store earlier this month.

The robbery occurred on Oct. 11 at East Side Convenience Store, when Matthew Prior, 25, of Sanford, entered the store, brandished a gun and then fled, Detective Sgt. Matthew Jones said earlier.

Prior was arrested late Thursday night on a robbery charge and taken to York County Jail, where he is being held on $10,000 cash bail.

On Friday afternoon, two other suspects were arrested, Jones said.

Donna Gray, 56, and her 25-year-old daughter, Jenna Gray, 25, both of Sanford were arrested on charges of being an accomplice to robbery.

The two women were booked at the Sanford Police Department and then taken to York County Jail, where both are being held on $5,000 cash bail.

They are expected to appear in court on Monday.
