BELFAST, Maine — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of commercial burglaries that occurred in Northport and Lincolnville over the weekend.

According to Chief Deputy Jason Trundy, there were about five burglaries.

Trundy did not have a lot of information to disclose on Tuesday but said detectives are “following up on a few things. We did get a few things out of it, and we’re trying to follow up on those.”

Trundy said small merchandise such as cigarettes were among the items taken. He added that no arrests have been made.

Anybody with information can call the sheriff’s office at 338-2040.
