SKOWHEGAN, Maine — An arrest warrant has been issued for a 63-year-old man after a fire at his apartment last week, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.
Peter Gray of Skowhegan was released from Redington-Fairview Hospital last week, and investigators are planning on charging him with arson, according to McCausland.
The fire last week destroyed his unit at 378 Water Street, and all other occupants in the building, which contains 11 units, escaped injury.
The fire was contained to Gray’s apartment.
Gray is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. He has gray hair, and officials suspect he is staying with friends or at a homeless shelter.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call Maine State Police in Augusta at 624-7076.
