PITTSTON, Maine — Two Waldoboro women were arrested last week after the car in which they were riding was found to have crack in it, according to officials.
Nichole Pranes, 39, and Destinee Smith, 19, were both charged with unlawful possession of a Schedule W drug, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.
Troopers had stopped a car Pranes was driving on Thursday on Route 126 after receiving a tip from Maine Drug Enforcement Agency officials, McCausland said.
Inside the vehicle, police found about 4 grams of crack, prescription pills and various drug paraphernalia, McCausland said.
Both women were arrested and taken to the Kennebec County Jail.
