BIDDEFORD, Maine — Four people, including two from the Bronx, have been arrested in a crack cocaine and heroin bust out of Biddeford, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency announced Tuesday.

Arrested were Raymond Naveo, 20, and Celina Rodriguez, 20, of the Bronx and Corey Harmon, 33, and Niaomi Butts, 33, of Biddeford, according to MDEA Cmdr. Scott Pelletier.

Drug agents and Biddeford police detectives had been investigating alleged crack and heroin distribution at a Hazel Street apartment over the course of several months, Pelletier said.

During the course of the investigation, drugs had been purchased by undercover agents from Naveo and Harmon on several occasions, according to Pelletier.

On Nov. 5, agents determined Butts and Naveo had driven to New York to acquire more drugs for distribution in the Biddeford area.

Their vehicle was stopped at 11:30 that night, and Butts was arrested on a charge of operating after suspension, while Naveo, who was a passenger, was arrested on a crack cocaine trafficking warrant. Rodriguez, who was also a passenger, was arrested on a charge of aggravated trafficking in heroin after 11 grams of heroin allegedly were found on her possession.

All three were subsequently taken to the York County Jail.

A search warrant was executed at the Hazel Street residence, where Harmon was found and arrested. Four grams of heroin were seized. Harmon was charged with trafficking in crack cocaine and heroin and taken to jail.

On Monday, as Butts was set to be released from jail on $300 bail on the traffic charge, drug agents met with her on suspicion she had been concealing drugs within a body cavity the night of her arrest. After a search warrant was obtained and she was taken to Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford to be searched, approximately 38 grams of crack cocaine were seized from her, Pelletier said.

Butts was returned to county lockup and charged with aggravated trafficking of crack cocaine. Bail for her was set at $25,000, $200,000 for Naveo, $100,000 for Harmon and $10,000 for Rodriguez.

The seized drugs are valued at $9,000.
