LIMERICK, Maine — A Cornish man was injured Monday when his vehicle struck a moose on Sokokis Trail, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Glenn Googins, 48, suffered cuts, bruises and a concussion and was treated and released from Maine Medical Center, Sheriff William King said.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. The moose was killed, and Googins’ vehicle was totaled, according to King.

Police are advising drivers to be wary of deer and moose on Maine roads during the fall wildlife movement season.
