KENNEBUNK, Maine — Maine Marine Patrol confirmed Friday that the water taxi reported missing Wednesday has been found on Parsons Beach in Kennebunk. Capt. Adam Patterson was not on board.

According to the Marine Patrol, the Portland Express Taxi was discovered overturned and partially buried in the sand by a resident around 7 a.m. Friday.

No evidence of foul play was found among the wreckage, but the vessel has been brought to another location for further inspection by marine patrol.

Maine Marine Patrol says Patterson was last seen on surveillance video at DiMillo’s, leaving in a water taxi at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday without his cellphone.

Marine officials had two vessels in the water and two planes in the air Thursday looking for the 30-year-old.

Officials say Patterson’s wife was the last person to have contact with him, during a phone call at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
