MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — The Maine Red Claws ruined the first home game for new NBA D-League entry, Raptors 905, with a 109-104 victory at the Hershey Centre Thursday night.

The Red Claws rallied from a 53-47 halftime deficit behind recent Boston Celtics assignees Terry Rozier and Jordan Mickey to beat Canada’s first NBA D-League team.

Rozier nearly notched a triple-double with 23 points, eight rebounds and eight assists while Mickey contributed 18 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots. James Young, also on assignment from the Celtics, finished with six points and four rebounds.

Omari Johnson kept Maine (2-1) in the game in the first half. Johnson finished with 21 points. The Red Claws outscored the Raptors 32-19 in the third quarter and set a franchise record for the game with 109 field goal attempts, finishing 40 percent (44 of 109) from the field.

The two teams meet again at 7 p.m. Friday when the Red Claws play their home opener at the Portland Expo.
