LEWISTON, Maine — Voters in Lewiston head to the polls today for a runoff election for the city’s top position.
Incumbent mayor Robert Macdonald faces a challenge from Ben Chin. Back in November, Chin got 44 percent of the vote, and Macdonald received 37 percent. In order to win the mayoral seat, a candidate must receive 50 percent support.
Voting will take place at the Longley Elementary School on Birch Street in Lewiston. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
