SKOWHEGAN, Maine — A local man has been charged in connection with a car burglary near his home, Chief Donald Bolduc said in a press release issued Wednesday.
Jordan Holmes, 25, was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle, theft and violation of conditional release.
Skowhegan police received a report Monday from a woman who said she caught a man burglarizing her car on High Street.
A suspect, identified as Holmes due to his prior involvement with officers, was captured on surveillance cameras at an area business, the release said.
When an officer went to conduct a bail check on Holmes, she learned of a burglary on Hilltop Drive, between Holmes’ residence and where the Monday car burglary was reported on High Street, police said.
During the bail check, stolen items from the burglary of a motor vehicle on Hilltop Drive were recovered, and Holmes was arrested, the release said.
