LEBANON, Maine — An early morning fire destroys a home in Lebanon.

It happened a little after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Creamery Hill Road.

Lebanon Fire Chief Dan Meehan said two people were at the home at the time, and they escaped out a window. One of them was treated for smoke inhalation.

The ranch-style house has an attached garage. Meehan said when crews first arrived, they found heavy fire in the middle of the building and the fire was advancing quickly.

Multiple crews were called in to assist.

There is no word yet on a cause. The state fire marshal will be on scene to investigate Tuesday morning.

The Red Cross is assisting those who lived in the home.
