BIDDEFORD, Maine — Three people were arrested Tuesday in connection with the distribution of cocaine and crack cocaine in the Biddeford area, authorities said.
Jeffrey Davis, 30, and Kerry Burgess, 27, both of Biddeford, are facing an aggravated cocaine trafficking charge, along with Charmagn Cody, 32, also of Biddeford, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.
Drug agents began investigating the alleged distribution of the drugs from Davis and Burgess’ residence on Green Street, McCausland said.
Numerous undercover drug transactions from the two were conducted during the investigation. Their charges were aggravated because of the residence being within 1,000 feet of St. James School.
Burgess and Davis were arrested without incident at their residence Tuesday while Cody was taken into custody at her Chapel Street residence. All three were brought to the York County Jail. Bail was set at $25,000 cash for Davis, $1,000 cash for Burgess and $2,000 for Cody.
Cody’s arrest was unrelated to the investigation of Burgess and Davis, as she allegedly conducted a number of undercover purchases since October in two Biddeford parks designated as drug-free zones.
The cases are unrelated to the charges of 15 in an Oxford County bust.
