AUGUSTA, Maine — A Randolph man wanted in connection with a November credit union robbery has been captured, according to Augusta police.
Jamie Morrill, 43, was taken into custody at his Clark Street residence on Monday afternoon, Augusta Deputy Chief Jared Mills said.
Earlier Monday, Mills had announced that police had issued a warrant for Morrill’s arrest after what he called “an exhaustive one-month investigation” into the Nov. 24 robbery of the Trademark Federal Credit Union.
Morrill allegedly walked into the bank with his face covered and demanded cash from a teller. No weapons were involved, but he allegedly fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Morrill was arrested without incident and charged with robbery, Mills said.
Morrill was scheduled to be taken to the Augusta police station where bail was to be set.
