WATERBORO, Maine — A local man is facing multiple charges after allegedly leading York County deputies on a short pursuit Sunday night, Sheriff William King said.
A deputy had attempted to stop Christopher Lajoie, 23, on Sokokis Trail around 10:15 p.m. but he refused to stop, King said.
When he stopped a half-mile later, Lajoie did not cooperate with police and a Taser was used to subdue him, King said.
Lajoie was charged with failing to stop for an officer, operating without a license, operating under the influence and refusing to submit to arrest.
Lajoie remained at the York County Jail on $1,000 bail Monday.
