TEMPLE, Maine — A Rumford man has been charged in connection with a Dec. 20 fire at a shed on Temple Road, according to officials.
James Bigos, 53, is accused of setting fire to a shed near a home while the homeowner, his girlfriend and girlfriend’s daughter all slept, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.
The shed burned to the ground and the house suffered minor damage, but the homeowner was able to slow the fire with a garden hose, McCausland said.
According to fire investigators, Bigos’ ex-wife is the girlfriend of the homeowner. No injuries were reported.
