Game notes: The Black Bears look to extend their 13-game home winning streak and have had extra time to prepare since Saturday’s 62-52 victory at New Hampshire. The Seawolves lost a 73-54 decision at Albany on Thursday. SBU features a potent transition attack and an emerging star in freshman Anyagaligbo, who averages a double-double. The Seawolves lead the league in FT attempts but are last in 3-point shooting at 25 percent. UMaine must shoot well, crash the boards and control the tempo in the face of SBU’s relentless ball pressure, which has been stingy against 3-pointers.
NOTE: The Maine at Stony Brook men’s game scheduled for Sunday in New York has been postponed due to a snowstorm. The game will be held at 7 p.m. Monday. The Stony Brook women’s team played in Albany Thursday night and left for Maine from there.
