BANGOR, Maine — A 30-year-old woman pleaded guilty to trafficking in heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine on Monday in federal court, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

Tiffany Sutherland of Bangor pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute heroin, cocaine and cocaine base, according to a news release. Sutherland was part of a ring that obtained drugs out of state and then sold them in Maine.

She faces between five and 40 years in prison and a fine of up to $5 million. She will then face between four years and a lifetime of supervised release.

She will be sentenced after completion of a presentence investigation.

The investigation that led to Sutherland’s arrest was conducted by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Bangor Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
