SOUTH THOMASTON, Maine — A 61-year-old St. George man has died as a result of injuries suffered in a Sunday afternoon snowmobile crash.
Robert Milhomme was found about 2:30 p.m. near his snowmobile in the roadway of a private road off Route 131 in South Thomaston, according to Cpl. John McDonald of the Maine Warden Service.
Milhomme, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered serious head injuries and was taken by ambulance to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport by South Thomaston emergency medical services, McDonald said Tuesday. South Thomaston Fire Department and Rockland emergency medical services also went to the crash.
Milhomme died Monday night or Tuesday morning, McDonald said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Maine Warden Service.
