PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police seized nearly 75 grams of crack cocaine and more than $1,000 in cash after executing a search warrant at a Grant Street apartment Wednesday night.
No drug-related arrests were made, although 13 people found inside the small apartment were questioned, according to a release from the Portland Police Department.
An investigation spurred by neighborhood complaints about alleged drug trafficking prompted police to obtain and execute a search warrant at about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Police detained 13 people found in the small apartment.
One woman, 41-year-old Amy Brown of Portland, was arrested on a warrant charging unpaid fines for Class C felony theft.
Police said the apartment was apparently being used to traffick cocaine base (crack cocaine). They seized 74.8 grams of crack cocaine and $1,053 in cash.
The investigation is ongoing and future arrests are expected, police said.
