HANCOCK – Dana Bunker Jones, 45, died on February 13th, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. She died peacefully, at home, in the company of her loving family.
Dana was born in Bangor on February 13th, 1971, to Douglas S. Bunker and Gail Morris Bunker, of Franklin and was a member of the local community her entire life. She was a fan of Caribbean cruises, family gatherings and giggling babies, and was said to have a talent for brightening the lives of all that knew her.
Dana is survived by her parents, Doug and Gail; her husband, Sean Jones; her children, Jeffrey Servetas, Jordan Servetas, and Tori Jones; her brother, Eric Bunker and his wife Deborah; and Dana’s niece, Emma Bunker, as well as an exceptionally loving extended family, including her paternal grandmother, Twila “Mammie” Bunker; her aunts, Paula Collins, and Paula Morris; her cousins, Brock and Bailey Collins and Brock’s wife, Bree and their Daughter Stella; and many, many others.
Per Dana’s wishes, her family will be hosting a party and celebration of her life at their home in Hancock, beginning at 1pm on Saturday, March 5th, 2016. As well, she asked for donations in her honor to be made to the Blue Hill Hospital Foundation at 1-(207)-374-3411 or the American Diabetes Association at 1-(800)-342-2383.
