SKOWHEGAN – Clifford “Bud” D. Bennett, 85, died February 14, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 20, 1930 in Charleston, a son of Clifford and Helen (Graves) Bennett, Sr. He was a graduate of Corinth Academy.
Bud was employed as a construction supervisor building bridges in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. He also worked on a water treatment plant in Washington, D.C. and on pollution control plants in Maine.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Clark) Bennett of Skowhegan; children, Barbara and husband Gary Gray of Rockledge, FL, Alice and husband Bob Fells of Benson, AZ, Joseph and wife Dixie Bennett of Madison, Terri and husband Robert Anderson of Meridian, ID, Sandra Smith and companion Stewart Kinney of Skowhegan, and Nola and husband John Peterson of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Scott, Jonathan, Becki, Melissa, Kazia, Lindsey, Amber, Robbie, Sarah, Thomas, Bryan, Erin, Kaela, Dakota and Patience; great grandchildren, Travis, Logan, Jordan, Brayden, Landon, Asher, Kaydn, Gina, Iris, Ivan, Blake, Theodore, and Skyler; sisters, Judy Libby of Corinth and Muriel and husband Jim Mason of McRae, GA.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Ruth Bennett and Charlene Preble; and a grandson Christian Anderson.
