CORINNA AND EXETER – Stasia J. Szufat, 95, died February 11, 2016 at a Hartland nursing home.
She was born March 23, 1920 in Worcester, MA, as daughter of Frank and Mary (Szajer) Witkowski. She had retired as an office manager for a chemical manufacturer in MA. While there she was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Worcester, belonged to the Polish Falcons, and was a member of the Worcester Telegram and Gazette Bowling League. Stasia will be remembered as an avid gardener.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn and husband Douglas Pike of Exeter; a granddaughter, Lynn Pike of Hollis; 2 great grandchildren, Katie and Thomas Nishan; and a great great grandson, Michael Nishan; 2 nieces, Mary Sanderson and Linda Higgins; 1 nephew, Joseph Witkowski; and several cousins.
Stasia was predeceased by 2 brothers, Bernard and Chester Witkowski; and a sister Florence Sanderson.
Spring graveside committal services will be held at Exeter Center Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna.
