He is survived by his wife, Melissa, whom he married on July 1, 1947. He is also survived by his four children, Mark (Paula) Jandreau of Alberta, Canada, Terry Ann (Harold) Ouellette of Winthrop, ME, Brenda Ginn of Hamburg, NJ and Molly Jandreau of Augusta, Maine; eight grandchildren, Tommy, Tricia, Erika, Renae, Wade, Alissa, Kyle and Ashley; nine great-grandchildren, two sisters, Florence (Bob) Ouellette of Caribou, ME and Rita (Dudley) Jandreau of Bristol, CT; and a sister-in-law, Lucia (Bud) Jandreau of Florida. Lester was a WWII Veteran stationed in the Philippines. He was also a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, St. Francis American Legion, and Fort Kent VFW. Due to health issues, he and Melissa moved to the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou, Maine in 2013.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22, 2016, at 10 am at the St. Charles Catholic Church with full Military and Fourth Degree Honors in St. Francis. Friends may call at Daigle Funeral Home Monday from 8 am until time of departure for St. Francis. Spring burial will be held in the parish cemetery on May 13, 2016.
