PORTLAND, Maine — The Maine Red Claws used a 20-6 run in the final 5:51 of the fourth quarter to come from behind and earn a 138-131 NBA D-League victory over the Delaware 87ers on Thursday night at the Portland Expo Building.
The 138 points are the most the Red Claws have ever scored at home, eclipsing the previous high of 137.
Coty Clark scored eight of his game-high 31 points and Omari Johnson netted eight of his 22 points in the final period to help Portland (21-14) pull out the win.
The Red Claws placed seven players in double figures, including Corey Walden (18), Levi Randolph (17), James Young (14), Davion Berry (12) and Malcolm Miller (11). Clark snatched 11 rebound and Randolph grabbed 10 for the hosts.
Jordan McRae paced Delaware (17-19) with 27 points and seven assists. Sean Kilpatrick tallied 22 points and Russ Smith registered a double-double with 19 points and a game-high 15 assists.
Christian Wood scored 14 points, Earl Clark (11 rebounds) and Rodney Carney netted 12 points each and Sam Thompson chipped in with 11 points.
The Red Claws are back at home on Saturday night against the league leading Sioux Falls Skyforce. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
