A scoring error led to a wrong school being named winner of one of the Class B regional competitions of the 2016 Maine Drama Festival on Saturday. On Sunday afternoon it was announced that Winslow High School, not Hermon, won, and will advance to the state finals.

Winslow’s play was “Tribunal.”

There were nine regional competitions held around the state on Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5.

The following Class A schools will proceed to the finals: Oceanside, Falmouth, Bonny Eagle, Waterville, Oxford Hills, South Portland, Lawrence and Westbrook.

The following Class B schools will proceed to the finals: Ellsworth, Lincoln Academy, Baxter Academy, Lee Academy, Maine Central Institute, Foxcroft-Academy, Mount Desert, Freeport, Winslow and Lisbon.

The one-act play state finals will be held Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19. Class A will be held at Camden Hills Regional High School in Rockport; and Class B will be held at Stearns High School in Millinocket.
