CORNISH, Maine — A local man is facing multiple charges after an alleged domestic assault on his girlfriend and her two sons, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to an Old Pike Road home around 12:30 Tuesday morning, according to Sheriff William King. Upon arrival, Deputy Travis Belleard discovered that Heath Hebert, 23, had trashed the woman’s residence, according to King.
Hebert was hiding in a back bedroom when the deputy arrived, and when the deputy called to him, Hebert allegedly charged at the officer aggressively, King said.
Belleard was able to use a Taser to subdue Hebert.
An investigation revealed Hebert and the woman’s sons, aged 19 and 16, were consuming alcohol when Hebert assaulted one of them unprovoked. King said the other son and the woman were assaulted when they tried to intervene. None were seriously injured.
Hebert was arrested and charged with three counts of domestic violence assault and one charge of refusing to sign a summons, King said. He was taken to the York County Jail.
