AUGUSTA, Maine — Three people were arrested Thursday after a drug raid turned up heroin and crack cocaine, police said.
Donald Morang, Jr., 36, Nicole Truman, 33, both of Augusta, and Steven Joiner, 21, of Rochester, New York, are facing multiple drug trafficking charges, Augusta Deputy Chief Jared Mills said.
The search warrant was executed by Augusta police and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency officials at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at a Mount Vernon Avenue residence, Mills said.
The raid was executed after information about alleged sales of heroin and crack cocaine were garnered by police, Mills said.
More than 7 grams of crack cocaine and 5 grams of heroin were seized.
Morang is facing four charges of aggravated trafficking Schedule W drugs, and Truman and Joiner are each facing two counts of the same charge, Mills said.
All three were taken to the Kennebec County Jail, where bail was set at $50,000 for Morang and Joiner and $25,000 for Truman.
“This is the latest example of information that has been provided to our department by the public enabling our drug investigators to identify three more individuals involved in the illegal drug trade in our city,” Mills said.
