STANDISH, Maine — The strong storm systems overnight brought down trees and caused damage across central and southern Maine, including in the Gorham and Standish area.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for most of southern Maine at 4:25 p.m.
CMP was on the scene of a large tree that fell on a house in Gorham. No one was in the building at the time.
Another tree fell in Standish, blocking a portion of Whites Bridge Road. This tree also took down a power line, so CMP had to cut power to the area.
