PORTLAND, Maine — Three people accused of drug dealing in southern Maine pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute heroin, fentanyl and bath salts during a hearing Friday in U.S. District Court.
According to court records, Scot Stolkner, 42, of Gray obtained heroin from out-of-state sources and had others transport it to Maine and sell it to his customers from about August through late December of 2014.
Angela Green, 34, of South Portland transported heroin and fentanyl for Stolkner and she and Jonathan Day, 41, of Portland and others sold it for Stolkner, according to federal prosecutors.
In April of last year, Stolkner began obtaining bath salts from a Chinese source. Stolkner placed online orders and wired money to the supplier, which sent the bath salts to addresses that Stolkner provided. Once the bath salts were in Maine, Green, Day and others sold it for Stolkner.
The defendants each face up to 20 years in prison, a $100,000 fine and between three years and life on supervised release. They will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.
The case that led to the guilty pleas was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, with the assistance of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
