WISCASSET, Maine — A Damariscotta man has been indicted by a Sagadahoc County grand jury on charges that he sexually abused two teenagers in Topsham in 2014.
Patrick Logan Patterson, 26, was arrested April 16 in Brunswick on a warrant and initially was held at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset on $10,000 cash bail. Bail was reduced to $5,000 cash at Patterson’s arraignment Wednesday, according to Sagadahoc County assistant district attorney Jonathan R. Liberman.
According to a complaint filed by police, Patterson was involved in sexual acts twice in the summer of 2014 with one Topsham teen who was 14 or 15 years old at the time and once in the fall of 2014 with another teen who was 14 or 15 years old at the time.
The first two charges are misdemeanors because Patterson was at least five years older than the alleged victim when the crimes allegedly occurred. The third charge is a Class C felony because Patterson was at least 10 years older than the alleged victim when the crime allegedly occurred.
Patterson is scheduled to appear in West Bath District Court on June 8.
