BANGOR, Maine — Forest rangers were once again busy Monday trying to deal with brush fires across the state.
According to the Maine Forest Rangers, crews have dealt with brush fires in Hudson, Glenburn and Houlton thus far Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, fire danger remained high throughout the state, with red flag warnings in effect for much of Maine.
A red flag warning occurs when a combination of strong winds and dry conditions create the high possibility of brush fires.
Bangor Fire Department officials said Monday a cause has not been determined for a brush fire that broke out along the Kenduskeag Stream on Sunday afternoon.
