BIDDEFORD, Maine — A man who allegedly overdosed on opioids and crashed into a car at the Papa John’s in Biddeford Tuesday night was administered Narcan by rescue personnel before being arrested for car theft and outstanding warrants.

Police say 26-year-old Cory Lyons of Arundel fell unconscious behind the wheel and crashed into a parked car after he overdosed.

Lyons regained consciousness after rescue personnel from Biddeford Fire Department administered two doses of Narcan, according to police. Lyons then told police he had stolen the car in Massachusetts.

Police say Lyons was arrested on warrants from Maine and New Hampshire. He was also issued a felony summons in connection with the stolen car.

He was treated at Southern Maine Health Care and taken to York County Jail, where he is being held without bail.

Police say Lyons will also be charged with operating after suspension.
