BIDDEFORD, Maine — A man who allegedly overdosed on opioids and crashed into another car at the Papa John’s pizza shop on Elm Street Tuesday night was administered Narcan by rescue personnel before being arrested for car theft and outstanding warrants.
Cory Lyons — a 26-year-old Arundel man, according to a report by WGME, CBS 13 — apparently fell unconscious behind the wheel and crashed into a parked car after he overdosed, police said in a patrol report.
Lyons regained consciousness after rescue personnel from Biddeford Fire Department administered two doses of Narcan, police said. Lyons then allegedly told police he had stolen the car in Massachusetts, according to the report.
Lyons was arrested on warrants from Maine and New Hampshire, and was issued a felony summons in connection with the stolen car. He was treated at Southern Maine Health Care and taken to York County Jail, where he was held without bail, according to the report. Police said Lyons will also be charged with operating after suspension.
