ROCKPORT, Maine — The superintendent has nominated a new principal to replace a longtime administrator at Camden Hills Regional High School.
The Five-Town Community School District board will vote on confirming Robert Sampson to the principal post at its Wednesday evening meeting.
Sampson would replace longtime principal Nick Ithomitis, who announced early in the school year that he would be leaving at the end of the school year. Ithomitis was hired by the Five-Town Community School District before the start of the 2005-2006 school year, succeeding James Anastasio.
Sampson is headmaster of Waterville Valley Academy in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. Before that he had served at Rivendell Academy in Orford, New Hampshire, and White Mountains Regional High School in Whitefield, New Hampshire.
His starting salary will be $109,500.
