WINDHAM, Maine — A man serving time for eluding a police officer has died at the Maine Correctional Center, according to the Maine Department of Corrections.

Wayne Patrick King, 36, was found dead 11:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a statement from the Department of Corrections.

King had served 17 months of a 34-month sentence for eluding an officer, concurrent with a pair of aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation charges, the statement said.

Maine State Police and the state medical examiner’s office are reviewing King’s death.
