PORTLAND, Maine — A man from Portland who was struck by a moped on Brighton Ave last Tuesday has died.
David Burnham, 52, died Saturday. He had been hospitalized since the crash.
Police said Burnham was walking across the street when he was struck by a 2007 Honda moped driven by 36-year-old Kelly McGovern.
Burnham suffered serious injuries and was taken to Maine Medical Center, where he later died.
McGovern was not injured.
The crash is still under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call the Portland Police Traffic Division at 874-8532.
