MILLINOCKET – Gilbert Rodgerson, 81, died May 22, 2016 in Millinocket. He was born May 12, 1935 in Stacyville, the son of Arthur and Luda (McLain) Rodgerson.
He worked for GNP for 35 years, retiring in 1986 and he ran Gibby’s Sport Shop for 10 years and was a gate tender at Telos for 10 years. He was a lifetime member of the Nollesemic Lodge #205, and Anah Temple Shriners of Bangor and a member of BPOE Elks of Millinocket.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley (Goodine) Rodgerson; 5 children, Robin Gardner and her fiance, Stu Grant of Columbia Falls, Kenneth Rodgerson and Lorraine of Lily Bay, Michael Rodgerson and Kay of KY; Sally Saucier and Keith of Millinocket, Richard Rodgerson and Jan of Winterport; grandchildren, Justin and Nicholas Rodgerson, Denise Gardner, Joshua Saucier, Telsey Harriman, Jessica and Jason Bougie; a great granddaughter, Olivia Gallant; sisters, Marcia Baker and Judy Stevens. He was predeceased by his parents; a grandson, Ryan Gardner; 3 brothers, Ernest, Robert and Vane.
Graveside funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Millinocket Cemetery with the Pastor Terry Given officiating in conjunction with Nollesemic Lodge #205 AF and AM.
