BANGOR, Maine — Downpours and thunderstorms could affect Memorial Day plans in southern and central Maine, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather service on Sunday issued a hazardous weather outlook for parts of Oxford, Somerset, Franklin, York, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties.
The rainy conditions were expected to begin late Sunday and could produce localized flooding, mainly after midnight, forecasters said.
The potential for thunderstorms and downpours remain possible through Monday morning.
