WELLS, Maine — A Wells man was indicted on murder and other charges on Tuesday in connection with a March 2015 incident in which a 62-year-old Wells woman suffered a fatal cardiac event after her home was burglarized.

Carlton Young, 24, was indicted on charges of felony murder, attempted murder, four counts of burglary to a dwelling and four counts of theft, according to an indictment handed up by the York County grand jury.

Prosecutors say Connie Loucks suffered a “fatal cardiac event” after Young and three accomplices burglarized her home on March 25, 2015.

According to a press release from the Wells Police Department, three accomplices were previously indicted for burglary in connection to the incident, and police continue to seek additional charges against them.

No additional information was available Tuesday evening.
