PORTLAND, Maine — A Biddeford man was sentenced to five years in prison for conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and cocaine during a hearing Monday in U.S. District Court.

Anthony Lacomb, 30, also was ordered to undergo three years of supervised release upon completing his prison term. Lacomb pleaded guilty to federal charge on Feb. 24, according to a statement released Monday by the U.S attorney’s office.

According to court records, Lacomb oversaw a group of people who imported oxycodone and cocaine from Rhode Island to Maine in 2014 and 2015.

In April 2015, he was arrested in Scarborough when an undercover agent ordered cocaine and oxycodone from him. When Lacomb and another conspirator arrived to conduct the transaction, they were arrested and about an ounce of cocaine and 35 oxycodone pills were seized.

The case is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Scarborough Police Department.
