ROCKLAND, Maine — A wholesale heating, air conditioning and plumbing supply business will be opening in the local industrial park.

Winsupply of Rockland likely will open in August, said owner Sam Irish. The business will be occupying the building at 28 Gordon Drive formerly used for boat storage.

The building and property is owned by O’Hara Corp.

Irish said he will be employing five people.

The code office has issued a building permit for the project.

Winsupply is a privately held company with a shared ownership model that, as majority owner, offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to have substantial equity and operate their own wholesale supply business, the company states on its website.

“These business owners have their own corporation. They are stockholders who benefit directly by sharing in the profits. They have the pride of ownership. They are responsible for the growth of their company,” the website states.

There are more than 500 Winsupply locations across the country.
