CLINTON, Maine — State police and game wardens spent much of Thursday morning searching for a 31-year-old local man who fled from a Hinckley Road home Thursday morning.
While troopers were investigating a domestic violence complaint, Michael Savage fled, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.
Savage was prohibited from having any contact with a woman who lives at the home, and he fled out a back door, McCausland said.
The woman, Katrina Bouchard, 30, of Clinton, allegedly attempted to assault troopers with a baseball bat, and she was taken into custody and charged with obstructing government administration, McCausland said.
About 10 state troopers, game wardens and Clinton police officers searched for Savage Thursday morning after he bolted into the woods behind Bouchard’s house.
Savage was later taken into custody at the home of a relative and charged with violating his bail conditions, McCausland said.
