HOULTON — Brock Thompson hit a one-out solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Houlton a 4-3 victory over Old Town in a District 3 Little League baseball all-star game Friday.

Silas Graham chipped in with a solo homer in the third inning for Houlton and also singled.

Jordan Cota sparked Old Town with two singles.

Old Town scored two runs in the first inning on a leadoff walk, a Matt Seymour single and Cota’s two-run single.

Houlton answered with a run in the bottom of the second after three walks and an infield error.

Graham then homered for the Houlton all-stars and they took the lead in the fifth when Kurtis Reynolds smacked a run-producing single.

Old Town tied it in the sixth with the help of two errors.

D3 Baseball, 11-12

Bangor East 18, Lincoln 4

At Lincoln, Bangor East scored nine runs in the bottom of the first inning to seize control and eliminate Lincoln from the tournament.

Andrew Brook hit a three-run homer during that first inning, while Tyler Libby added a two run double.

Cabryn Streams smacked four singles and drove in four runs to lead Bangor East, now 2-1 in the tournament, while Keegan Cyr doubled, singled and drove in a run.

Brody Smith singled three times for 1-2 Lincoln, while Jackson Sutherland singled twice and drove in a run and Isaac Hainer drove in two runs and Matt Ouellette singled and scored two runs.

Hermon 7, Holbrook 5

At Hermon, Wyatt Gogan hit a two-run home run in the third inning after Alex Taylor hit an RBI double to help Hermon record the win.

Taylor and Logan Scripture each recorded two doubles and a single to help lead Hermon. Trey Brown chipped in with a double and scored two runs.

Evan Nadeau hit an RBI single in the second inning for Holbrook and John Pangburn added an RBI fielder’s choice. Ethan Delmonaco chipped in with a single.

D3, Junior League

Lincoln, Holbrook post wins

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor on Friday, Lincoln beat Brewer 16-7 and Holbrook defeated Bangor 6-3 in District 3 Junior League tourney action.

Lincoln erupted for a 10-run seventh inning, with eight of their nine hits, to break a 6-6 tie and earn the win.

Spencer Johnstone sparked Lincoln (2-0) with two singles and four RBIs while Andrew Severson chipped in with a double, two singles and an RBI. Reece Carter added a three-run double and Malcolm Slomienski smacked an RBI triple.

Connor Young notched three singles for Brewer (0-1) with three singles and an RBI. Marty Hewes contributed a double and single and Anthony Chiappone had two singles.

In the second game, Holbrook scored five two-out runs in the top of the sixth inning to snap a 1-1 tie en route to the win. Andrew Kiley tripled to center to start the rally and Will Whitman added an RBI double to highlight the inning that included three walks, an error, two wild pitches and a passed ball.

Raiden Charity led Holbrook (2-0) with three singles and an RBI.

Will Chubbuck doubled for Bangor (0-1).

At Beal Field in Machias, the Machias all-stars scored three runs in the first inning and five more in the second en route to the win over Acadian.

Pierce Walston sparked Machias with an inside-the-park home run and a triple. Caden Schwinn, Brian Dennison, Shane Feeney, Carson Prout and Tristan Hicks each contributed a single.

Jay Haney, Alex Gray and Henry Lester each notched a single for Acadian.

At Brewer, Bangor West rallied for six runs in the sixth inning to tie the game and then scored two more in the seventh to beat Holbrook in the District 3 all-star tourney for ages 9-10.

Lucas Rutherford smacked four singles for Bangor West while Mark Parron chipped in with two singles and a run. Chase Swartz added a single and two runs to back winning pitcher Nicholas Horton.

Dylan Sawyer sparked Holbrook with four singles. Dylan Nadeau added three singles and Jack Derosier had two while Sawyer, Nadeau and Derosier each scored four runs.

Bronco LL 14, Sebasticook 6

At Brewer, Collin Peckham and T.J. Lierena each recorded three singles to help Bronco Little League of Hampden beat Sebasticook Valley.

Peckham also drove in four runs and scored three while Peckham scored twice. Garrett McLeod chipped in with a single, two RBIs and three runs. Peckham was also the winning pitcher.

Connor Sides led Sebasticook with a single, double, RBI and run. Nate Tardif and Tom Nyce each contributed a double with Nyce driving in a run.
