AUGUSTA, Maine — The Maine Senate will return to Augusta next month to consider a series of nominations by Gov. Paul LePage, according to Senate President Mike Thibodeau.

Thibodeau notified Senate Secretary Heather Priest on Tuesday that the Senate will convene at 10 a.m. on Aug. 4 to vote on LePage’s nominees to a number of boards and commissions. The nominations will be the subjects of hearings before legislative committees during the next couple of weeks.

The appointments are as follows:

— Bradford A. Pattershall of Freeport, nominated for the Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election Practices. Pattershall’s interview with the Legislature’s Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee is scheduled for 10 a.m. on July 15.

— Orland G. McPherson of Eliot, nominated for reappointment to the State Liquor and Lottery Commission. His interview with the Legislature’s Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee is scheduled for July 15.

— Frederick C. Oettinger of Penobscot, nominated for the Maine Human Rights Commission. His interview with the Legislature’s Judiciary Committee is scheduled for 10 a.m. on July 20.

— Jean A. Roy of Lewiston and Joseph J. Klaus of Oakland, nominated for the Maine Unemployment Insurance Commission. Their interviews with the Legislature’s Labor, Commerce Research and Economic Development Committee are scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 21.

— Emery Deabay of Bucksport, nominated for reappointment to the Workers’ Compensation Board. His interview with the LCRED Committee is scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 21.

— Carl A. Guignard of Lewiston and Dennis E. Welch of Windham, nominated to the Maine Labor Relations Board. Their interviews with the Legislature’s LCRED Committee are scheduled for 1 p.m. on July 21.

— Amos S. Eno of South Freeport, nominated for the Outdoor Heritage Fund Board. His interview with the Legislature’s Environment and Natural Resources Committee is scheduled for 10 a.m. on July 26.

Each legislative committee will vote on a recommendation following the interviews. The nominees then go to the full Senate for final confirmation.
