PORTLAND, Maine — A local man is facing a pair of drug trafficking charges after cocaine and oxycodone was seized from him by drug agents Thursday, officials said.

Craig Carrigan, 47, is accused of trafficking in cocaine and in oxycodone, both Class A offenses, according to a statement from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Over the past two months, MDEA agents in Cumberland County have been investigating Carrigan’s alleged distribution of the drugs in Greater Portland from his apartment.

On Thursday, more than 7 ounces of cocaine, 246 30-milligram oxycodone pills, cutting agents, packaging materials and $19,000 in suspected drug money were seized from the apartment upon Carrigan’s arrest. The seized drugs are valued at $25,000.

Carrigan was taken to the Cumberland County Jail, where bail was set at $25,000.
